Special thank you to our event chairs:

This year at Lunch With A View we look forward to featuring author and journalist Missy Isaacson, whose work is so relevant to ORT’s mission: to provide access to education for ALL students, regardless of circumstance. This conversation will be moderated by Judy Levin.

We are also pleased to welcome Amos Gofer, Director of ORT's Kadima Mada Kfar Silver Youth Village, so you can hear first-hand how your event support can make students’ dreams for a bright future come true. We hope to see you on April 30!

Questions? Call Hannah Wolod at (847) 291-0475 or email hwolod@ortamerica.org.

FEATURING
Melissa “Missy” Isaacson

Missy Isaacson is an award winning journalist and author whose career has spanned the sports world. Notably, Missy was the Chicago Tribune’s principal beat writer covering the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls in the 90s and then the Chicago Bears for seven seasons, the first woman in both of those roles. She is currently on the faculty of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. In 2022, the Tribune named her among the 20 “Most Influential Women in Chicago sports media”.

"State: A Team, A Triumph, A Transformation," recounts Missy’s experience on her 1979 state championship-winning basketball team at Niles West in Skokie. This transformational journey occurred shortly after the passage of Title IX, the first legislation to protect people from gender-based discrimination in state-funded education programs.
